Professional Music Video

Summary

In the music video of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, she is singing about how waiting for a guy to admit his true feelings can feel like its a lifetime. When she sings "I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years" she is saying that for what feels like a lifetime she has loved him for that entire time.

Design

The color scheme of the video was a lot of blues and some pinks, oranges and whites. The blues allowed the audience to feel the suspense of waiting for a thousand years for the love. The pinks, oranges, and whites made the audience feel the love that the two people have for each other.

Story

The story of the video was that she was waiting for a thousand years for him to realize that he's in love with her. She knew along his true feelings, and that she was in love with him. In the end he realizes that he's been in love with her from the very start.

Extra

One element I would take from this video was the close up of his face at the wedding and that it's important to capture feelings just from a close up of the face. One thing that I already knew was that the over the shoulder shot at the wedding when they are saying "I love you" is one of the best shots to capture both of the people. The creator did well by capturing the feelings between the two people. The creator could have improved on the lighting in the shots with the candles. I thought that the creator did a good job capturing the overall effect that the song needed to express.
