Review of
"They loved your GPA, then they saw your Tweets"
By: Ashley Augustine

In this article it explains to kids on how when your using social media it's important to be cautious about what you post. When your applying for colleges, admissions people may look at your social media accounts ad it can determine wether you are accepted or rejected. Some of the social media websites that colleges may look at is Facebook, twitter, Instagram, and many more.

One thing that surprised me is that at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine an admissions officer was checking an applicants social media website, and saw that she tweeted discouraging stuff about other students that were attending a campus information session last year.

One question that I have is why do some students have two Facebook accounts? If you think you need two Facebook accounts then you probably need to rethink what your posting.

After reading this article and seeing the type of things that can happen because of social media accounts, I'm going to be more careful about what I post and the photos that I'm tagged in. I think that some people abuse social media and that they think it makes them more popular if they do stupid stuff and then post it on social media. Just because I have social media doesn't mean that I can take it for granted. Social media is a privilege that everybody should understand. We can't just assume that because other people have it doesn't mean that we are required too.
